America's Future Architects was founded in the summer of 2025 by high school student Ava Garland.

Ava's journey into the field began after she completed an architecture camp at Midlands Technical College, where her emerging skills culminated in winning the camp's diorama and design competition. Eager to bring that same transformative experience to her peers, she set out to help other students learn about architecture and work on collaborative projects that would build strong portfolios for college admissions. Recognizing that design-based learning was essential for their collective success, Ava sought to join an architecture club at Blythewood High School. When she discovered that no such organization existed on campus, she was inspired to build one from the ground up.

Today, the organization hosts bi-weekly meetings where students engage in hands-on activities, including drafting floor plans, creating mood boards, building toothpick structures, and organizing community fundraisers.
